On 9 October 2019, representatives from Te Tohu o Te Ora o Ngāti Awa amongst other Iwi organisations and agencies, were invited to attend the launch of Te Toi Ahorangi – Te Rautaki a Toi Ora 2030.  Te Toi Ahorangi is the Bay of Plenty District Health Board’s Māori strategic plan, that was determined by Te Rūnanga Hauora o Te Moana a Toi (Te Rūnanga) and fully endorsed by the Bay of Plenty District Health Board.   As referenced in the strategy document Te Toi Ahorangi affirms our unified vision, voice and intention to drive toward a whole-of-system transformation to Toi Ora that will improve the wellbeing of the 56,490 Māori who live in Te Moana a Toi.  Te Tohu o Te Ora o Ngāti Awa look forward to working closely with the District Health Board to respond and meet the needs of our whānau, hapū and Iwi.
